Red Bull Sand Scramble is the premier event of the national UTV Scramble Series. Upwards of 125 side-by-side UTVs will compete across the picturesque sand dunes of Glamis, California around a custom 2.8-mile circuit in the Imperial Recreation Area. Amateur and Professional racers and off-road fans are invited to the desert for an action-packed day of racing. The event features two competitive classes, the SXS Pro for more experienced racers and SXS Sportsman for amateur off-road enthusiasts.
In 2021, Vigil Films brought us on board to handle drone operations for the event coverage. We operated a dual-operator setup with the DJI Inspire 2, capturing key moments of the race from above. Our role was to ensure dynamic aerial footage that effectively conveyed the scale and energy of the event.
